FRUIT AND TREE PLANTATION
On 28 January 2021, Sahara Samuha Nepal initiated “Fruit and Tree plantation” program supported by Future Spirit Nepal. The objective of this program was to distribute (lemon, Guava, Orange, hog-Plum and Pine) plants to the local residents of Bigu Rural Community ward number 1 and 2 and Gaurishankar Rural Community ward number 8 and 9.
On 3rd February 2021 Seeds were transported all the way from Kathmandu to Nursery Setup Area (Jagat, Dolakha) along with all the necessary things for nursery Setup too. With the help of locals, we were able to complete the nursery on 29 March 2021.
After Germination, on 16 June 2021, the distribution program was held as planned. The locals participated with open heart and were able to collect the plants from the Nursery in Jagat. An Estimated of 200 local were present to successfully conclude the distribution Program.We hope, this plantation may help the residents to minimize the chances of natural disasters like Flooding and Soil Erosion, which has adversely effected the residents in yesteryears.
