TREE PLANTATION IN TAASHINAAM
Taashinam village stands on one of the steep sides of the gigantic hills of Gaurishankar rural municipality, with very low number of tree and vegetation the hill sides it is under constant threat of soil erosion in the rainy season. People have suffered loss of land and home due to this soil erosion. To try and reduce and avoid the chances of soil erosion, Sahara Samuha Nepal, under the guidance of president Pasang Sherpa successfully completed the Plantation Program on 2011 with the help of local residents and the Sahara Samuha Nepal members. This project was held with vision to help to reduce the soil erosion and reduce the loss of fertile land in Taashinaam Village. Pine, guava, orange, and uttis trees were some of the plants to mention that Sahara Samuha Nepal provided to the local people.
